Sleepy doggies

Booey is a regular at Dog Sitter Singapore. He is that 3 year old Yorkie and has been here since he was a puppy. The other 2 are toy poodles called Ku-Boy and Tommy. They doing nothing but eat,play and sleep I was told. Aren't they cute boys?

Pepe's visit

Pepe visited us recently.He is the guy with the black spots on his white coat.In fact,he is a Chihuahua. The other doggies were extremely excited and welcomed Pepe and family. Heard he is coming here again sometime in mid-December for a week's boarding.
How come I was not in the video? Well...well... I was the camera girl.

This cute and pretty toy poodle is called Chibi which in Japanese means small or tiny. She is well liked by us all here,including anuty Yumi and uncle Luke. She stay here recently because her "mummy" went back to Indonesia for a vacation.
Please come back again Chibi because we miss you dearly.

These 3 toy breeds of Pomeranian and 2 Chihuahua had a fun time at Changi beach yesterday. It was a 30 minutes ride to the beach and they enjoyed the car ride as well. Being a weekday, the beach was almost deserted. At first we brought them to Pungol beach but it was not as good and clean as Changi. We will post a video of the outing in a short while.

These days I spend more time at Dog Sitter/Pet Hotel in Singapore where uncle Luke and aunty Yumi are. Haven't been updating my blog lately. Kinda of lethargic these days..not much appetite too..sigh,sigh must be due to my age (just passed 4 yrs old last June.
Heard Tiger abd Ilah are coming to Dog Sitter soon. Kinda excited to see them again. Are they Westies?

Billy usually find eating more of a chore than enjoyment. At home, he is usually fed with beef that cost an average of $5 to $6 per 100 grams and yet he would not appreciate that much as when he is here. The beef we bought for Billy cost only about $1 per 100 grams and you can see from the video he is really craving for it. Billy loves our beef because we painstakingly pressure cooked until it is tender and juicy and he loves his beef this way.

I have been "fixed"!

Last Saturday, "Mum and Dad" brought me to the vet and had me "fixed"...ah finally at the age of almost 4. I had been micro chipped on the same day. Gosh it was real scary but I managed to survived the ordeal. I think every doggie should be sterilised like I am. It is healthier in the long run. I don't have to worry about staining the sofa cushion with my "period". I don't have to be moody again like when I was on the "heat"....hmmm..my "parents" know what's good for me and so I leave it to them.
Today is the 4th day after I have been spayed. I am feeling better and healthier as compared to the day and the day after the surgery. I am back on my feet again.

Some facts about Sterilization of Dogs

The dog spay surgery, and spaying and neutering of dogs or cats in general DOES NOT "make a pet fat and lazy". In a healthy dog or cat, free of hypothyroidism or other medical disorders, overfeeding and insufficient exercise are the sole causes of a pet being overweight. Don't blame the dog or cat spay or neuter surgery if a pet becomes overweight. If you are having trouble with your pet being overweight, read how to keep a pet at optimum body weight here.

WHEN TO SPAY: There is firm medical research indicating that if a dog spay surgery is performed before the dog's first estrus cycle (heat) the chances for developing mammary gland cancer later in life is nearly zero. (See a surgery to remove a mammary cancer here.) If a dog goes through one heat cycle and then is spayed, the chances of mammary cancer later in life are slightly reduced. And if a dog has three or more estrus cycles and then is spayed there is no protective influence against developing mammary cancer. In addition, any dog that is spayed will have no chance of developing a potentially fatal uterus infection called Pyometra. Many veterinarians recommend spaying dogs at about six months of age, which is generally prior to a dog's first heat cycle. Some veterinarians will suggest that the surgery be done at four or five months of age. Be sure to have a discussion with your veterinarian about the "whens" and "whys" of spaying. There is no particularly convincing reason to let a dog "have one heat cycle" or "just one litter" prior to spaying.

THE SPAY SURGERY: The surgical procedures are performed under general anesthesia and employ sterile instruments and a sterile surgical field. Medical emergencies can arise if a pet becomes infected during these procedures. No surgeon approaches any surgery as if it were "routine" because every animal is unique, each surgery is different from every other, and while neutering might be deemed a minor surgery a spay certainly qualifies as a major procedure. (So if you ever wonder why the charges for these procedures seem high, you just may reconsider after viewing these surgical procedures here in ThePetCenter.com.)

Essentially, the structures and techniques are the same for each dog spay. As you can imagine, though, there are some real differences between working on a 180 pound Saint Bernard or a 4 pound Yorkie! And an overweight patient makes the surgery more difficult and time consuming.

There are no medical, emotional or sociological reasons for a female dog to "have just one litter". If you do choose to allow your dog or cat to have a litter, please be certain that there are committed pet caretakers waiting and wanting to provide a home for them. You do have the power and intelligence to make a difference in the population of unwanted dogs and cats.

Uncle Luke was quite free last few days and had invited me over in the afternoon when my "parents" were working. Only Beagle Thea was in but I don't like to play with her and so I kept to myself or stuck close to Luke or auntie Yumi.
Today,I was not invited over because they had 3 doggies who will keep them busy for the next few weeks.
A few days ago, I had diarrhoea and I suspect it must be the new can food that my 'parents' fed me with. Oh yes it was Sunday I had that diarrhoea.However,on Monday and Tuesday when I had all my meals in Luke's home,I didn't have diarrhoea at all.
Hey buddies be careful with what you eat. China dog foods? No way man!

I have heard the Brownie story before

Luke telling three of my friends,the story of his first pet,a mongrel by the name of Brownie. That was when Luke a small boy,50 years ago.
Brownie was not as lucky as we guys,according to Luke. He was fed with leftover food which Luke's family would have considered as unfit for human consumption.
Brownie wasn't actually a pet in the real sense of the word.He was a guard dog because in those old days,there were petty thieves who would broke into the house when Luke and family were asleep. It was Brownie's job to bark or even attack the would be thieves......
All my friends thoroughly enjoyed the story and thanked Luke for opening their eyes and ears to things that they have never seen or heard before. They also felt so grateful to their "Moms" and "Dads" for being so kind to them by showering them with all the yummy food,snacks and care which Brownie never had.

I don't know what's wrong with Amber,the Silkie in the pictures above.When I was going for my evening walk yesterday with my 'mommy',Amber squeezed through uncle Luke's gate and tried to attack me. Fortunately,'mommy' picked me up to safety and uncle Luke caught hold of Amber.
We met and played before,yes me and Amber.Everyone was puzzled as to the reason for Amber to be so unfriendly. Perhaps she was envious of me going for my walks. But then she had just returned from her walks 10 minutes earlier.
Hmmmm well I am being to question, are Silky Terrier like this? I mean the unpredictable behaviour......

I have decided to delete all the videos where I was barking ferociously at uncle Luke when he tried to snatch my snacks from me. In reality,I am a nice and obedient toy poodle and I was just trying to scare uncle off,that's all.
So in order not to give a bad impression of myself,I have deleted all those videos.
From now on,I will only show the nice side of me,lest I be misunderstood. Bow wow.

(Aiya..don't disturb me lah..I am blogging ok!)

My name is Belle Lee and I am a toy poodle,borned in Singapore 3 years ago. I live with my "mummy" and "daddy" in the north eastern part of Singapore.
My neighbours are aunty Yumi and uncle Luke and they are very fond of me simply because I am sooo cute and pretty...clever too huh.
Whenever my family goes on a vacation,I would stay with my neighbours Yumi and Luke.So far,my family has gone on two trips.
I love spending my time with aunty and uncle.They are always nice to me,pampering me with delicious snacks,soft body massages,walks and play.

I picked up blogging from aunty Yumi and uncle Luke and here I am with my pictures which I download from my computer.
This is just the beginning of my blogging and you shall hear more from me in a short while.
